Instrument manufacture

Surprise! We’ve gone and developed a trombone! The instrument is a German-style trombone (slide bore of 13.4 mm, valve bore of 14.3 mm).

Its special feature is its lack of a tuning slide in the corpus, an arrangement that is intended to minimise disturbance and provide an even conical shape. A slide tuning mechanism can be used to tune the trombone. The slide is available in nickel silver and gold brass, and the valve comes from your choice of Voigt or Meinlschmidt.

The length ratio corresponds to the American style to allow for a shorter slide. That way, the instrument will fit any common bag or case.

The design is similar to our bass trumpet, making the two instruments a perfect match. As with all our instruments, pitch and sound are excellent.
