We developed this baritone saxhorn for Wolfgang Kroning from our tenor tuba. Just like the latter, this is an instrument with outstanding intonation and responsiveness across all registers. However, thanks to its cylindrical bore and completely different leadpipe, its sound is distinctly brighter and even more projecting.

My son made this beautiful saxhorn for me. In addition to the meticulous workmanship and wonderful tonal quality, there is one more thing I’d like to emphasise, which cannot be taken for granted in a father–son relationship: it’s the ability to listen, to take special requirements into account and to execute them as desired. Thank you very much for that and your outstanding advice.
